Experimental Observation of the Dynamic Influence Range of Electrochemical Potential

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 5, May 2026.
The influence distance of electrochemical potential (IDEP) is traditionally considered to be limited to the nanometer scale. Using a four‐electrode Li|Li pouch cell, we experimentally demonstrate that IDEP can extend beyond 1 mm. This finding overturns conventional understanding and provides new insights for interfacial studies and electrochemical ...

Dual‐Molten‐Salt Etching Strategy Enables Built‐in Electric Field in Mo‐MXene/NiFeSe Heterostructure for Superior OER Performance

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
A dual‐molten‐salt etching strategy was employed to construct a built‐in electric field in the Mo‐MXene/NiFeSe heterostructure to achieve excellent oxygen evolution reaction. Transition metal selenides have emerged as potential catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction, yet their practical implementation faces two fundamental challenges: irreversible

Voltammetric Studies of Nitrate Reduction at Boron‐Doped Diamond Thin‐Film Electrodes of Different Microstructure

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 38, Issue 5, May 2026.
The electrochemical reduction of nitrate at polycrystalline boron‐doped diamond (BDD) electrodes using three different microstructures was studied. The reduction of nitrate proceeded similarly on the three BDD electrode types in terms of onset and peak potentials in 0.1 M Na2SO4.
