Fabrication of Anodic Porous Alumina by Squaric Acid Anodizing [PDF]
Abstract The growth behavior of anodic porous alumina formed via anodizing in a new electrolyte, squaric acid (3,4-dihydroxy-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione), is reported for the first time. A high-purity aluminum foil was anodized in a 0.1 M squaric acid solution at 293 K and a constant applied potential of 100-150 V. Anodic oxides grew on the aluminum foil

THERMAL STUDIES OF POROUS ALUMINUM OXIDE MEMBRANES
Study of optical properties of nanoscale membranes of porous anodic alumina can significantly expand the scope of this material. The paper presents the results of thermal imaging studies of porous anodic alumina membranes with various structural ...

Nanocarbon-Coated Porous Anodic Alumina for Bionic Devices [PDF]
A highly-stable and biocompatible nanoporous electrode is demonstrated herein. The electrode is based on a porous anodic alumina which is conformally coated with an ultra-thin layer of diamond-like carbon. The nanocarbon coating plays an essential role for the chemical stability and biocompatibility of the electrodes; thus, the coated electrodes are ...

Preparation and Characterization of Porous Anodic Alumina membrane [PDF]
Porous Anodic Alumina (PAA) was prepared by two-step anodization on both sides of an aluminium foil. The anodization carried out at anodizing temperature 17oC using oxalic acid as an anodizing electrolyte.

Chemical analysis of a single basic cell of porous anodic aluminium oxide templates [PDF]
We prepared anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) templates with “honeycomb” geometry, i.e. hexagonally ordered circular pores. The structures were extensively studied and characterized by EPMA coupled with FEG-SEM and FEG-TEM coupled with EDX at meso and ...
