The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1999AbstractOn routine examination of a case of Waardenburg's syndrome apart from the usual features of the disorder, partial anodontia involving both the lower lateral incisors was evident.The interesting association of partial anodontia and Waardenburg's syndrome is discussed along with relevant available literature.

Abstract Two cases of partial anodontia involving both the deciduous and the permanent dentitions have been described. A consideration of the histories indicated that each case had a different etiology. One case appeared to have been inherited, whereas the other occurred for the first time in the family's history.

Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1944Ectodermal dysplasia is a rare condition characterized by complete or partial anodontia and by defects in other ectodermal structures. Thoma, 1 in his textbook "Oral Pathology," has given a collective review of 18 cases reported in the literature from 1883 to 1941, and Brodie and Sarnat 2 contributed another case in 1942.

Partial Anodontia: A Report of One Family
The Journal of the American Dental Association, 1966A resume was made of the congenitally missing teeth among eight children of a father who had a complete set of teeth and a mother who had congenitally missing right and left second or first maxillary premolars. The study showed that five of the eight siblings had 3 to 10 congenitally missing teeth.
