Plant Metabolites Screening Identifies 7‐epi‐10‐Deacetyltaxol Inhibiting Cell Division by Interfering With the Cell Cycle and Microtubule Organization

In this study, an efficient screening system is developed for plant metabolites to find a compound, 7‐epi‐10‐deacetyltaxol, inhibits tissue elongation. Solvent‐Free Synthesis of Ultrabright Carbon Dots With Near‐Unity Quantum Yield for High‐Performance Light‐Emitting Diodes

A rational, solvent‐free synthesis utilizing 2,6‐diaminonaphthalene produces ultrabright green‐emissive carbon dots. Regulated by a self‐limiting oxidative capping mechanism, excitons undergo ultrafast intra‐particle funneling from the nitrogen‐doped carbon core to emissive surface traps.

Axially Chiral Nonalternant Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon With Consecutive Pentagons Exhibiting Large Spin‐Polarized Current

Here we report two nonalternant polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) (1 and 2), which contain two and four consecutive pentagons, respectively. Under acidic conditions, 1 and 2 dimerize to afford the axially chiral dimers AC1 and AC2. The central azulene moiety in both 2 and AC2 shows an unusually short transannular bond of 1.366 Å.
