Anomalous photon thermal Hall effect [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2020
We predict an anomalous thermal Hall effect (ATHE) mediated by photons in networks of Weyl semi-metals. Contrary to the photon thermal Hall effect in magneto-optical systems which requires the application of an external magnetic field the ATHE in a Weyl semi-metals network is an intrinsic property of these systems.

Quantum anomalous Hall effect

open access: yesNational Science Review, 2013
Abstract Hall effect is a well-known electromagnetic phenomenon that has been widely applied in the semiconductor industry. The quantum Hall effect discovered in two-dimensional electronic systems under a strong magnetic field provided new insights into condensed matter physics, especially the topological aspect of electronic states. The

Anomalous Hall Effect Arising from Noncollinear Antiferromagnetism [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2014
In most conductors current flow perpendicular to electric field direction (Hall current) can be explained in terms of the Lorentz forces present when charged particles flow in an external magnetic field. However, as established in the very early work of Edwin Hall, ferromagnetic conductors such as Fe, Co, and Ni have an anomalous Hall conductivity ...

Intrinsic anomalous spin Hall effect

open access: yesScience China Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy, 2022
AbstractCharge-spin interconversion in magnetic materials is investigated by using the first-principles calculations. In addition to the conventional spin Hall effect (SHE) that requires mutual orthogonality of the charge current, spin-flow direction, and spin polarization, the recently proposed anomalous SHE (ASHE) is confirmed in Mn2Au and WTe2.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Spontaneous Hall effects in the electron system at the SmTiO3/EuTiO3 interface

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2018
Magnetotransport and magnetism of epitaxial SmTiO3/EuTiO3 heterostructures grown by molecular beam epitaxy are investigated. It is shown that the polar discontinuity at the interface introduces ∼3.9 × 1014 cm−2 carriers into the EuTiO3.

Anomalous ultrafast all-optical Hall effect in gapped graphene

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2021
We propose an ultrafast all-optical anomalous Hall effect in two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors of hexagonal symmetry such as gapped graphene (GG), transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), and hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN).
