Why Is the Mechanism Underlying the Chiral‐Induced Selectivity Effect Still Challenging?
The chiral‐induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect is observed in many experimental configurations and for different materials. However, there are theoretical challenges in attempting to explain those results. A qualitative framework for explaining all the results is presented.

Roll‐to‐roll direct‐current sputtering enables room‐temperature manufacture of flexible bismuth telluride thermoelectric films. By identifying a low‐power deposition window that suppresses charge‐induced arcing, this work links sputtering conditions to film structure, charge transport, and thermoelectric performance, achieving a room‐temperature figure

Layer‐Dependent Antiferromagnetic Chern and Axion Insulating States in UOTe
Layer‐dependent topological phases are identified in the van der Waals antiferromagnet UOTe. Ab initio calculations reveal bilayer UOTe as a rare example of high‐temperature antiferromagnetic Chern insulator with quantized Hall conductivity and near‐zero net magnetization, while odd‐layer films exhibit axion‐insulator‐like behavior with quantized spin ...

A novel strategy is developed by doping reduced graphene oxide (rGO) into a (HfZrTi)C medium‐entropy ceramic. This induces a hierarchical strain modification mechanism, synergistically inhibiting crack propagation at the microscale and dissipating stress at the mesoscale.

Approaching quantum anomalous Hall effect in proximity-coupled YIG/graphene/h-BN sandwich structure
Quantum anomalous Hall state is expected to emerge in Dirac electron systems such as graphene under both sufficiently strong exchange and spin-orbit interactions.

Anomalous Hall effect in YIG|Pt bilayers [PDF]
We measure the ordinary and the anomalous Hall effect in a set of yttrium iron garnet|platinum (YIG|Pt) bilayers via magnetization orientation dependent magnetoresistance experiments. Our data show that the presence of the ferrimagnetic insulator YIG leads to an anomalous Hall effect like voltage in Pt, which is sensitive to both Pt thickness and ...

This study demonstrates a strain‐tunable anomalous Hall response in the (110)‐oriented FeRh thin film. First‐principles calculations reveal that strain‐induced symmetry lowering redistributes Berry curvature near the Fermi level via band shifts and avoided crossings.
