Relationship between anomalous Ettingshausen effect and anomalous Nernst effect in an FePt thin film

Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2018
We investigated anomalous Ettingshausen effect (AEE) and anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) for the same device consisting of an FePt thin film. The temperature modulation due to the AEE was visualized using the active infrared emission microscopy, called lock-in thermography.

Photo-induced anomalous Nernst effects in transition metal dichalcogenides

JSAP-OSA Joint Symposia 2014 Abstracts, 2014
Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) such as MoS2, MoSe2, WS2 and WSe2 are quasi-two-dimensional semiconducting alternatives to graphene that have recently attracted much attention due to their remarkable electronic and optoelectronic properties [1–4].

Electromagnetically tunable spin-valley-polarized current via anomalous Nernst effect in monolayer of jacutingaite

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter
Monolayer jacutingaite (Pt2HgSe3) exhibits remarkable properties, including significant spin–orbit coupling (SOC) and a tunable band gap, attributed to its buckled honeycomb geometry and the presence of heavy atoms.

Abnormal Magnetic Phase Transition in Mixed-Phase (110)-Oriented FeRh Films on Al2O3 Substrates via the Anomalous Nernst Effect.

Small
Iron rhodium (FeRh) undergoes a first-order anti-ferromagnetic to ferromagnetic phase transition above its Curie temperature. By measuring the anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) in (110)-oriented FeRh films on Al2O3 substrates, the ANE thermopower over a ...

Robust room-temperature anomalous Nernst effect over a broad thickness and composition range in chemically disordered FexPt100−x films

Applied Physics Letters
The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) has been under consideration for potential transverse thermoelectric applications. However, the utilized material systems are generally limited to chemically ordered crystals with notable features of nontrivial band ...

Ab-initio prediction of gigantic anomalous Nernst effect in ferromagnetic monolayer transition metal trihalides

Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter
The anomalous Hall conductivity of all transition metal trihalides was explored using first-principles calculations. Employing the Fukui-Hatsugai-Suzuki method, we found that ferromagnetic monolayers XBr3 (X = Pd, Pt) possessed the quantized anomalous ...
