Anomalous Nernst and Thermal Hall Effects in Tilted Weyl Semimetals [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2017
We study the anomalous Nernst and thermal Hall effects in a linearized low-energy model of a tilted Weyl semimetal, with two Weyl nodes separated in momentum space.

Anomalous Nernst effect in disordered FePtPd ternary alloy films [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) in disordered Fe0.5(PtxPd1-x)0.5 alloy films is investigated at room temperature. The spin orbit coupling (SOC) strength is continuously tuned by changing the composition of Pt and Pd in Fe0.5(PtxPd1-x)0.5 alloy films ...

Tunable anomalous Hall and Nernst effects in MM′X compounds [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2022
Abstract Based on first-principles calculations, the anomalous Hall conductivity (AHC) and anomalous Nernst conductivities (ANCs) of the XMnP (X = Ti, Zr, Hf) compounds are evaluated, and the possibility to tailor such properties in compounds susceptible to changing the magnetization directions is also investigated.

Large anomalous Nernst effect at room temperature in a chiral antiferromagnet [PDF]

open access: yesNature Physics, 2017
The anomalous Nernst effect is usually associated with ferromagnets — enabling a temperature gradient to generate a transverse electric field — but the Berry curvature associated with Weyl points can drive this phenomenon in chiral antiferromagnets.

Giant anomalous Nernst effect and quantum-critical scaling in a ferromagnetic semimetal [PDF]

open access: yesNature Physics, 2018
In conducting ferromagnets, an anomalous Nernst effect—the generation of an electric voltage perpendicular to both the magnetization and an applied temperature gradient—can be driven by the nontrivial geometric structure, or Berry curvature, of the ...

Magneto-thermoelectric effects mapping using tip-induced temperature gradient in atomic force microscopy

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2023
Mapping magneto-thermoelectric effects, such as the anomalous Nernst effect, are crucial to optimize devices that convert thermal energy to electric energy.

Progress Review on Topological Properties of Heusler Materials [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2020
Starting from crystal, electronic and magnetic structures of Heusler compounds, this paper studies the new topological materials related to Heusler compounds and their topological properties, such as anomalous Hall effect, skyrmions, chiral anomaly ...

Anomalous Nernst effect in La0.5Ca0.5Coo3

open access: yes, 2022
We report the occurrence of the anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) in polycrystalline perovskite La0.5Ca0.5CoO3. The sample is ferromagnetic below TC = 147 K and resistivity shows non-metallic behavior above and below the TC with only a small negative magnetoresistance (~2%) around TC.
