Anomalous thermal Hall effect and anomalous Nernst effect of CsV$_{3}$Sb$_{5}$

open access: yes, 2021
Motived by time-reversal symmetry breaking and giant anomalous Hall effect in kagome superconductor \textit{A}V$_3$Sb$_5$ (\textit{A} = Cs, K, Rb), we carried out the thermal transport measurements on CsV$_3$Sb$_5$. In addition to the anomalous Hall effect, the anomalous Nernst effect and the anomalous thermal Hall effect emerge.

Large Room Temperature Anomalous Nernst Effect Coupled with Topological Nernst Effect from Incommensurate Spin Structure in a Kagome Antiferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that ErMn₆Sn₆, a kagome antiferromagnet hosting incommensurate spin textures, sustains finite scalar spin chirality that drives topological states. The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) originates from the strong Berry curvature of Chern‐gapped Dirac fermions, while the topological Nernst effect (TNE) arises from emergent fields ...

Polycrystalline MnBi as a transverse thermoelectric material

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
To assess the potential of polycrystalline MnBi as a transverse thermoelectric material, we have experimentally investigated its anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) by means of the heat flux method. We prepared MnBi samples by powder metallurgy; this technique

Mott Relation for Anomalous Hall and Nernst effects in Ga1-xMnxAs Ferromagnetic Semiconductors

open access: yes, 2008
The Mott relation between the electrical and thermoelectric transport coefficients normally holds for phenomena involving scattering. However, the anomalous Hall effect (AHE) in ferromagnets may arise from intrinsic spin-orbit interaction.

Emerging of Anomalous Higher‐Order Topological Phases in Altermagnet/Topological Insulator Heterostructure by Floquet Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We combine altermagnet with topological insulators and subject the structure to Floquet driving. This breaks time‐reversal symmetry and creates a new type of higher‐order topological insulator. Its key feature is the emergence of programmable “0/π‐corner modes” that can be controlled by magnetic field direction, offering a novel dynamic platform for ...

Ambipolar Nernst effect in NbSe$_2$

open access: yes, 2003
The first study of Nernst effect in NbSe$_2$ reveals a large quasi-particle contribution with a magnitude comparable and a sign opposite to the vortex signal. Comparing the effect of the Charge Density Wave(CDW) transition on Hall and Nernst coefficients,

Seebeck Effect in Nanoscale Ferromagnets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present a theory of the Seebeck effect in nanoscale ferromagnets with dimensions smaller than the spin diffusion length. The spin accumulation generated by a temperature gradient strongly affects the thermopower.

Nonreciprocal Charge Transport in an Iron‐Based Superconductor with Broken Inversion Symmetry Engineered by a Hydrogen‐Concentration Gradient

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Concentration gradients can serve as a universal platform for breaking spatial inversion symmetry. We demonstrate this concept by observing nonreciprocal electrical transport—a sensitive probe of inversion‐symmetry breaking—in the iron‐based superconductor Sm1111 with an engineered hydrogen gradient.

Geometrical contribution to the anomalous Nernst effect in TbFeCo thin films

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The geometrical contribution to the anomalous Nernst effect in magnetic thin films was experimentally investigated by varying the aspect ratios and electrode configurations.
