Correlation between incoherent phase fluctuations and disorder in Y$_{1-x}$Pr$_x$Ba$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-\delta}$ epitaxial films from Nernst effect measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Measurements of Nernst effect, resistivity and Hall angle on epitaxial films of Y$_{1-x}$Pr$_x$Ba$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{7-\delta}$(Pr-YBCO, 0$\leq x\leq$0.4) are reported over a broad range of temperature and magnetic field.

Nernst effect of the new iron-based superconductor LaO$_{1-x}$F$_{x}$FeAs

open access: yes, 2008
We report the first Nernst effect measurement on the new iron-based superconductor LaO$_{1-x}$F$_{x}$FeAs $(x=0.1)$. In the normal state, the Nernst signal is negative and very small.

Tuning Optoelectronic Properties and Photoelectrochemical Performance of β‐TaON via Vanadium Doping

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Vanadium‐doped β‐TaON is studied to elucidate how controlled cation substitution modulates crystal and electronic structures and photoelectrochemical performance. Moderate vanadium incorporation (<10 at.%) retains phase purity, narrows the bandgap, and improves charge transport, whereas excessive doping (>10 at.%) induces secondary phases that suppress

Normal State Nernst Effect in Electron-doped Pr2-xCexCuO4: Superconducting Fluctuations and Two-band Transport

open access: yes, 2007
We report a systematic study of normal state Nernst effect in the electron-doped cuprates Pr$_{2-x}$Ce$_x$CuO$_{4-\delta}$ over a wide range of doping (0.05$\leq x \leq$0.21) and temperature.

Efficacy of a K+ Channel Agonist, XEN1101, For Preserving Contractility in Mouse Models of Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysis

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 668-674, April 2026.
Pretreatment with an agonist of Kv7 potassium channels (XEN1101) protects the soleus muscle from a loss of force during a 2 mM K+ challenge, in a mouse model of hypokalemic periodic paralysis. ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Effective management remains lacking for recurrent episodes of acute weakness in hypokalemic periodic paralysis (HypoPP).

Large anomalous Nernst effect across the magneto-structural transition in bulk Ni-Co-Mn-Sn full Heusler alloy

open access: yes, 2018
We report on the observation of temperature and field dependent anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) in Ni-rich bulk Ni-Co-Mn-Sn full Heusler alloy. A large change in the transverse Nernst coefficient (N) is obtained across the first order magnetostructural ...

Electrical Conductivity of Amorphous and Molten CaCO3 at High Pressures and Its Implications for Mantle Conductivity Anomalies

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 5, 16 March 2026.
Abstract Impedance spectrometry experiments have been conducted on CaCO3 up to 15 GPa and 2,100 K to identify its state under high pressure. The melting temperature of CaCO3 was also determined by the falling of a Re sphere observed via X‐ray radiography. The phase transition from aragonite to the amorphous phase does not cause a leap in the Electrical

Contribution of Berry Curvature to Thermoelectric Effects

open access: yes, 2014
Within the semiclassical Boltzmann transport theory, the formula for Seebeck coefficient $S$ is derived for an isotropic two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) system that exhibits anomalous Hall effect (AHE) and anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) originating ...

Single Pair of Weyl Points Evolve From Spin Group‐Protected Nodal Line in Half‐Metallic Ferromagnet V3S4

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 21, 12 March 2026.
A spin group (SG)‐based mechanism is proposed to realize a single pair of Weyl points. PT‐symmetric nodal lines (NLs) persist under T‐breaking, protected by the combination of SG and P symmetry. When considering spin‐orbit coupling, the SG‐protected NL will split into Weyl points, which will also induce anomalous transport phenomena arising from ...
