Minor physical anomalies in Tourette syndrome [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Journal of Psychiatry, 2008
Background and Objectives: The prevalence of minor physical anomalies (prenatal errors of morphogenesis) was evaluated in patients with Tourette syndrome to get indirect data on the possible role of aberrant neurodevelopment in the aetiology of Tourette syndrome.

Constraining new physics in the Tev range by the recent BNL measurement of (g-2)_{\mu} [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
In this paper we study the implications of the recent high precision measurement of (g-2)_{\mu} by BNL on new heavy physics beyond the SM in a model independent way.

Testing New Physics Explanations of the MiniBooNE Anomaly at Neutrino Scattering Experiments. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2018
Heavy neutrinos with additional interactions have recently been proposed as an explanation to the MiniBooNE excess. These scenarios often rely on marginally boosted particles to explain the excess angular spectrum, thus predicting large rates at higher ...

Non-Relativistic Treatment of the 2D Electron System Interacting via Varshni–Shukla Potential Using the Asymptotic Iteration Method

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The nonrelativistic treatment of the Varshni–Shukla potential (V–SP) in the presence of magnetic and Aharanov–Bohm fields is carried out using the asymptotic iteration method (AIM). The energy equation and wave function are derived analytically.

Chiral Symmetry and Axial Anomaly in Hadron and Nuclear Physics --- a review --

open access: yes, 2010
The important role played by chiral symmetry and axial anomaly in QCD in nuclear physics is reviewed. Some recent topics on possible chiral restoration in hot and/or dense matter are picked up.

Regularization schemes and the multiplicative anomaly [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Elizalde, Vanzo, and Zerbini have shown that the effective action of two free Euclidean scalar fields in flat space contains a `multiplicative anomaly' when zeta-function regularization is used. This is related to the Wodzicki residue.

New Physics beyond the 750 GeV diphotons events

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
the 750 GeV diphoton anomaly observed by ATLAS and CMS collaborations in 2015, and the models suggested by theorists to explain it. The talk has been presented in the special session devoted to this anomaly and possible (new) physics behind it. Since all

Hybrid data-driven physics model-based framework for enhanced cyber-physical smart grid security

open access: yesIET Smart Grid, 2019
This study presents a hybrid data-driven physics model-based framework for real-time monitoring in smart grids. As the power grid transitions to the use of smart grid technology, it's real-time monitoring becomes more vulnerable to cyber-attacks like ...

A connection between flavour anomaly, neutrino mass, and axion

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We propose a minimal model in which the flavour anomaly in the b → sμ + μ − transition is connected to the breaking of Peccei-Quinn (PQ) symmetry. The flavour anomaly is explained from new physics contribution by introducing one generation of heavy quark

Vanishing of the conformal anomaly for strings in a gravitational wave

open access: yes, 2003
Using the non-symmetric-connection approach proposed by Osborn, we demonstrate that, for a bosonic string in a specially chosen plane-fronted gravitational wave and an axion background, the conformal anomaly vanishes at the two-loop level.
