Investigation on key aspects of mating biology in the mosquito Aedes koreicus

A laboratory colony of Aedes koreicus derived from the area of initial introduction and establishment in Italy did not display autogenic behaviour. We observed repeated attempts at insemination and an aggressive and disruptive behaviour of Aedes albopictus males towards Ae.
