Management of infertility resulting from anovulation

Recent methods for induction of ovulation in the woman are described. The only indication for use of these medications is induction of ovulation and pregnancy. In properly selected patients, the success rate is quite high, but treatment has undesirable side effects which occasionally may be severe.

Prolonged anovulation subsequent to oral progestins

This paper calls attention to the syndrome of prolonged oligomenorrhea after oral contraceptive therapy, with the presentation of 2 cases and a review of 13 similar cases studied and published to date. Preliminary observations are made regarding the site of endocrine dysfunction, clinical features, and possible modes of therapy.
