Transient Charging Dynamics in Stacked Ga2O3/ZnO Photovoltaic Units Governing Wavelength‐Selective Polarity Switching

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reveals a “Photovoltaic‐Capacitance” coupling mechanism in stacked Ga2O3/ZnO devices, defining the ZnO/graphene interface as a novel Photovoltaic Dynamic‐Capacitor (PDC). The wavelength‐selective bipolar response enables a physical layer secure communication protocol based on ternary optical logic (“1,” “0,” “−1”).

Answer Set Programming: Related with Other Solving Paradigms

open access: yes, 2018
Answer set programming (ASP) is a declarative programming paradigm based on an interpretation of logical rules as constraints. In this article, we relate answer set programming with other constraint-based solving paradigms: Boolean satisfiability ...

A Formal Approach for Cautious Reasoning in Answer Set Programming (Extended Abstract)

open access: yes, 2020
The issue of describing in a formal way solving algorithms in various fields such as Propositional Satisfiability (SAT), Quantified SAT, Satisfiability Modulo Theories, Answer Set Programming (ASP), and Constraint ASP, has been relatively recently ...

Decentralized Federated Learning for Wind Turbine Bearing Prognostics Under Data Scarcity and Statistical Heterogeneity

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper proposes a decentralized peer‐to‐peer federated learning framework for wind turbine bearing remaining useful life prediction, introducing a virtual client paradigm in which statistical health indicators serve as independent feature‐level clients—enabling privacy‐preserving collaborative prognostics from a single physical asset under ...

A New Approach to Clausification for Intuitionistic Propositional Logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In recent years some papers have addressed the problem of the validity in Intuitionistic Propositional Logic and in some intermediate propositional logics using the approach proposed by Claessen and Rosén of reduction to Satisfiability Modulo Theories ...

Orientations of Graphs With at Most One Directed Path Between Every Pair of Vertices

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given a graph G $G$, we say that an orientation D $D$ of G $G$ is a KT orientation if, for all u , v ∈ V ( D ) $u,v\in V(D)$, there is at most one directed path (in any direction) between u $u$ and v $v$. Graphs that admit such orientations have been used to construct graphs with large chromatic number and small clique number that served as ...

Generalizing Level Ranking Constraints for Monotone and Convex Aggregates

open access: yes, 2023
In answer set programming (ASP), answer sets capture solutions to search problems of interest and thus the efficient computation of answer sets is of utmost importance.

Social and emotional pathways to shame reduction: An RCT with preservice teachers

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Shame is an unpleasant, activating emotion that has been shown to undermine learners' motivation and achievement and identity development in mathematics education. Recent studies have implemented positive psychology interventions (PPIs) to reduce preservice teachers' shame in mathematics, with promising quantitative outcomes ...

Miners' Reward Elasticity and Stability of Competing Proof‐of‐Work Cryptocurrencies

open access: yesInternational Economic Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Proof‐of‐Work cryptocurrencies employ miners to sustain the system through algorithmic reward adjustments. We develop a stochastic model of the multicurrency mining and identify conditions for stable transaction speeds. Bitcoin's algorithm requires hash supply elasticity <$<$1 for stability, while ASERT remains stable for any elasticity and ...
