CNR Ozone Sounding Merged (COSM) Dataset From Existing Global Archives
The COSM dataset unifies over 101,000 ozonesonde profiles from SHADOZ, NDACC and WOUDC into a harmonized, quality‐controlled archive spanning 1978–2024. It improves global spatial and temporal coverage, supports climate and chemistry studies, and provides a robust resource for satellite validation, model evaluation and trend analysis.

Our study demonstrates that particles transported within sea ice are advected over substantially larger distances compared with those transported solely by ocean currents, indicating that sea ice dynamics play a dominant role in enhancing long‐range particle dispersal in the Southern Ocean relative to ocean‐only transport.
