Quantum Electrometry of Non‐Volatile Space Charges in Diamond

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Charges are generated when nitrogen vacancy qubits in diamond are illuminated by light. Transport and trapping in an electric field leads to the formation of large, stable space charge patterns that dynamically screen applied electric fields, impacting electric field sensing and photoelectric detection.

Soft Robotic Snake with Tunable Undulatory Gait for Efficient Underwater Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study designs an underwater soft snake robot using 3D‐printed soft actuators, controlled by specific signals to generate sinusoidal undulation. Results show a positive correlation between speed and swing amplitude, with optimal performance at 2/3π phase offset, PLA tail, 1.2 voltage growth rate, and 6s undulation period achieving a maximum speed ...

Dependent plural pronouns with Skolemized choice functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The present paper discusses two interesting phenomena concerning phi-features on plural pronouns: (i) plural pronouns that denote atomic individuals (‘dependent plural pronouns’), and (ii) plural pronouns with more than one binder (‘partial binding’).
