Design of a Planar Eleven Antenna for Optimal MIMO Performance as a Wideband Micro Base-station Antenna [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
A new low-profile planar Eleven antenna is designed for optimal MIMO performance as a wideband MIMO antenna for micro base-stations in future wireless communication systems. The design objective has been to optimize both the reflection coefficient at the

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Design of a Super Wide Band Antenna and Measure of Ambient RF Density in Urban Area

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A compact Super Wide band (SWB) antenna fed by coplanar waveguide (CPW) is proposed in this paper. The size of the antenna is 140 × 100mm2 (0.16λ × 0.12λ).

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Terahertz Microstrip Elevated Stack Antenna Technology on GaN-on-Low Resistivity Silicon Substrates for TMIC [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we demonstrate a THz microstrip stack antenna on GaN-on-low resistivity silicon substrates (ρ < 40 Ω.cm). To reduce losses caused by the substrate and to enhance performance of the integrated antenna at THz frequencies, the driven patch ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

A 3D Printed Ka-Band High-Efficiency Wide-Slit Antenna Array for High-Power Microwave Applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2022
A Ka-band high-power waveguide wide-slit antenna array with high efficiency and high-power capacity is proposed in this paper. The antenna uses a waveguide vertical transition structure as a part of the feed network, which improves the compactness and ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Linearity considerations in adaptive antenna array applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The use of adaptive antenna in mobile communications base stations is self-explanatory. It offers the potential of increased spectrum efficiency, extended range of coverage and reduced delay spread.
