A Wideband Ultra-Low-Profile Solar Cell–Integrated Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Electromagnetic Engineering and Science, 2023
In this paper, a wideband ultra-low-profile solar cell–integrated antenna with a high form factor is presented. A copper indium gallium selenide-based solar cell was used for the proposed design.

Q-Factor Bounds for Microstrip Patch Antennas [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2023
Antenna bounds are a useful tool in assessing the feasibility or performance of an antenna design. Microstrip patch antennas are often limited by their relatively narrow bandwidth, and therefore Q-factor is an important design parameter, as it is related to the inverse of the fractional bandwidth.

Measurement of HF monopole antenna array ground wave gain, antenna factor, and antenna noise factor [PDF]

open access: yes2001 IEEE EMC International Symposium. Symposium Record. International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (Cat. No.01CH37161), 2002
This paper presents a practical way to measure the ground wave gain G/sub GW/, ground wave antenna factor AF/sub GW/, and antenna noise factor F/sub a/(Mon) of monopoles used in BF antenna arrays. It shows measurement results taken from June 1997 to September 1999 at five geographically separated HIT arrays.

On the use of Purcell factors for plasmon antennas [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2010
The Purcell factor is the standard figure of merit for spontaneous emission enhancement in microcavities, that has also been proposed to describe emission enhancements for plasmonic resonances. A comparison is made of quality factor, mode volume and Purcell factor for single and coupled plasmon spheres to exact calculations of emission rates. The paper

Factorization of Antenna Efficiency of Aperture-Type Antenna: Beam Coupling and Two Spillovers [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2021
Antenna efficiency is one of the most important figures-of-merit of a radio telescope for observations especially at millimeter wavelengths or shorter wavelengths, even for a multibeam radio telescope. To analyze a system with a beam waveguide, a lossless antenna consisting of two apertures in series is considered in the frame of the scalar wave ...

Antenna factorization of gauge-theory amplitudes [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1998
I derive a single factorization formula which summarizes all soft and collinear divergences of a tree-level gauge theory amplitude. The singular factor squared is in a certain sense the generalization of the Catani-Seymour dipole factorization formula.

Antenna factorization in strongly ordered limits [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2005
When energies or angles of gluons emitted in a gauge-theory process are small and strongly ordered, the emission factorizes in a simple way to all orders in perturbation theory. I show how to unify the various strongly-ordered soft, mixed soft-collinear, and collinear limits using antenna factorization amplitudes, which are generalizations of the ...

ESTIMATION OF ANTENNA FACTOR OF MICROSTRIP PATCH ANTENNA AS EMI SENSOR [PDF]

open access: yesProgress In Electromagnetics Research Letters, 2008
This paper presents the result for antenna factor of microstrip patch antenna when used as electromagnetic interference (EMI) sensor. Antenna factor is an important parameter of a sensor used for EMI measurements. The microstrip antenna has found wide application as transmit and receive antenna in modern microwave systems.

Traceable calibration of a horizontally polarised reference antenna with omnidirectional pattern at VHF frequencies for ILS field strength validation [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2013
We present a traceable calibration of a specially designed horizontally polarised reference antenna with an omnidirectional pattern in the E-plane for the frequency range between 105 MHz and 120 MHz. This antenna is used as a validation tool for absolute
