Blood Glucose Level Monitoring Using an FMCW Millimeter-Wave Radar Sensor

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
In this article, a novel sensing approach is presented for glucose level monitoring where a robust low-power millimeter(mm)-wave radar system is used to differentiate between blood samples of disparate glucose concentrations in the range 0.5 to 3.5 mg/mL.

MIMO Cognitive Radios with Antenna Selection [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2011
In this paper, we propose two solutions to the problem of joint transmit-receive antenna selection in a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cognitive radio (CR) system. Our objective is to maximize CR data rates and satisfy interference constraints at the primary user (PU) receiver(s).

ETSI-Standard Reconfigurable Mobile Device With an Opportunistic Multi-Antenna System Based on Radio and Non-Radio Contexts

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In state-of-the-art mobile devices (MDs), non-radio contexts (i.e., non-real-time data) provided by various sensors have been excluded in determining the modem configuration because of the problems in applying them in real-time modem operations.

A Chip Antenna in LTCC for UWB Radios [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2008
The correspondence presents a chip antenna for ultrawide- band (UWB) radios. The chip antenna is realized with a simple radiating element and small ground plane in low temperature cofired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The chip antenna has size 17 X 8 X 0.8 mm3 and achieves impedance bandwidth from 3.75 to 10.45 GHz and gain from - 2 to 2.3 dBi over this ...
