Satellite radio diversity antenna systems

2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005
Most of the luxury vehicles utilize composite body with no metallic roof, which, in turn, necessitates the use of non-traditional antenna systems and mounting locations. On the other hand, a single SDAR antenna at a sub-optimal location is very unlikely to satisfy system requirements.

High performance multiband radio antenna

2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015
A design approach of multiband and wideband antennas for radio apparatus is presented. The antenna is consisted of a monopole, a folded loop, and a helix. The fundamental behaviors of the single element and their combinations are analyzed to give desired bandwidths per the mutual coupling between elements.

Wideband Antenna for Portable Radio

2008 International Workshop on Antenna Technology: Small Antennas and Novel Metamaterials, 2008
Narrow frequency bandwidth antenna is a typical shortcoming for most of the communication devices. Thus, a single radiating element which able to have resonant frequencies covering from 780MHz till 3000MHz with at least VSWR of 2.5:1 is critically needed especially for a mission critical two-way portable radio.

Wideband antennas for radio astronomy

2006 First European Conference on Antennas and Propagation, 2006
The global radio astronomy community has for the last several years embarked on an exciting project known as Square Kilometer Array (SKA). This project is a radio telescope operational from 0.1GHz to 25GHz, with a square kilometer of overall collecting area, providing an increase in sensitivity of two orders of magnitude.

On geometry of radio antenna placements

1998
A smooth planar curve \(x(t)\) is said to have unique differences if all the vectors \(x(t)- x(t')\) that correspond to different pairs \((t,t')\), \(t\neq t'\), are different. In this note it is proved that if a smooth planar curve has unique differences, then it is a convex curve.

Antennas for digital radio broadcast

Ninth International Conference on Antennas and Propagation (ICAP), 1995
The Digital Radio Broadcast is reviewed briefly and the gain, polarization and other electrical requirements of mobile antennas for direct satellite signal reception, or terrestrial broadcast signals is discussed. Low profile and low cost antenna candidates in the form of multifilar helices and microstrip type radiators are introduced and compared. >

ANTENNA DEVICE FOR RADIO TELEPHONES

2007
The aim of the invention is to technically improve an antenna device for radio telephones, based on a printed circuit board antenna or a strip conductor antenna, in such a way that it is economical and simple to produce and has a high efficiency, but nevertheless ensures that the user of the radio telephone is less exposed to the effects of ...
