The Ultrastructure of Olfactory Sensilla Across the Antenna of Monolepta signata (Oliver)

open access: yesInsects
The antennal sensilla serve as a crucial olfactory organ, enabling insects to detect semiochemicals and adjust their host-seeking and oviposition behaviors accordingly.

Differential Tissue‐Coupled Powering for Battery‐Free Injectable Electroceuticals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A thread‐like injectable neural stimulator is powered through differential tissue‐coupled powering (DTCP), which harvests RF‐frequency tissue potentials with an elongated receiver while preserving a injectable cross‐section. The system integrates an ASIC, stimulation electrodes, and a portable transmitter, enabling wireless peripheral nerve stimulation,

Sex-biased gene expression in antennae of Drosophila suzukii

open access: yes, 2020
Drosophila suzukii differs from other members of the genus Drosophila in its host preference and oviposition behavior. The flies are attracted to ripening fruits, and females have a serrated ovipositor enabling eggs to be laid inside the fruit.

Giant Magnetic Purcell Effect Induced by High‐Order Mie Resonances

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐order Mie resonances in dielectric spheres selectively amplify magnetic dipole emission from Eu3+ emitters, producing a giant magnetic Purcell effect. Localized emitters can efficiently access high‐order resonant modes, and the low‐loss TiO2 platform enables direct far‐field observation of the enhanced emission.

Single‐Cell Transcriptomics and Metabolomics Reveal Glutamate Dehydrogenase as a Central Regulator of Nitrogen Metabolic Remodeling During Alkalinity Adaptation in Crustaceans

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics reveals the cellular response of Macrobrachium hainanense to carbonate alkalinity stress. Alkalinity stress impairs branchial ammonia excretion, induces mitochondrial dysfunction, and drives cell‐type‐specific changes in gills and hemocytes.

Design, Build and Test of planar antennae

open access: yes, 2016
Planar antennae have become very popular owing to their relative ease of manufacture and unobtrusive nature (they are conformal to surfaces) especially with regard to certain devices such as smart phones, watches and fitness gadgets.
