BMJ Case Reports, 2018 We report a case of a 42-year-old female patient who presented to the ophthalmology outpatient department with painful red eye for 1 month. Slit-lamp microscopy showed a live worm in the anterior chamber of left eye. The worm was surgically removed under topical anaesthesia.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.
