Anterior Segment OCT: Polarization-Sensitive OCT
2020The conventional intensity-oriented OCT utilizes scattering information to evaluate morphological features of biological tissues. The new generation of OCT, polarization-sensitive OCT (PS-OCT), is capable of measuring the polarization properties of biological tissues, such as phase retardation, diattenuation, and optic-axis orientation.

Anterior Segment OCT: Angiography
2020Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a non-invasive technique for imaging vasculature in the eye. In the anterior segment, OCTA can produce both cross-sectional and three-dimensional images that allows for imaging of normal structures or pathology with its accompanying vasculature. Currently, imaging of the anterior segment vasculature is

Anterior Segment OCT: An Overview
2020Anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) originally derived from posterior segment OCT. By changing the wavelength of the light source to a longer range, 1,000–1,300 nm, which is suboptimal for posterior segment imaging but more suitable to visualize anterior eye structures, the OCT devices specifically dedicated to anterior ocular ...

Imaging techniques have been developed to overcome limitations of light biomicroscopy as well as to provide new static and dynamic 3D measurement of the anterior segment of the eye.The goal of this chapter is to present a large variety of OCT applications in the anterior eye in order to render this new imaging device more familiar.

Automatic Segmentation of Cortex and Nucleus in Anterior Segment OCT Images
2018We propose a pipeline for automatically segmenting cortex and nucleus in a 360-degree anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) image. The proposed pipeline consists of a U-shaped network followed by a shape template. The U-shaped network predicts a mask for cortex and nucleus.

Evaluation of a pseudophakic pupillary block with an anterior segment OCT
British Journal of Ophthalmology, 2008Pupillary block has been recognised as a complication of cataract surgery and has been reported after the implantation of all major types of IOLs.1 2 We report the case of a 60-year-old woman who developed a pseudophakic pupillary block, 1 day after implantation of an anterior chamber-intraocular lens (AC-IOL) (Artisan; OPHTEC, Groningen, The ...
