Bulk Single Crystals and Physical Properties of Rutile GeO2 for High‐Power Electronics and Deep‐Ultraviolet Optoelectronics

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
Bulk rutile GeO2 single crystals of 5–15 mm in diameter are grown by the top‐seeded solution growth. Among different dopants, Sb5+ is a very efficient n‐type donor enabling free electron concentrations above 1020 cm−3. Prepared wafers show full width at half maximum values of rocking curves below 30 arcsec and root mean square roughness of 0.15 nm. The

Integrating multimodal data and machine learning for entrepreneurship research

open access: yesStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Extant research in neuroscience suggests that human perception is multimodal in nature—we model the world integrating diverse data sources such as sound, images, taste, and smell. Working in a dynamic environment, entrepreneurs are expected to draw on multimodal inputs in their decision making.

Robust β‐Sheet Peptide Reinforced Polymer Fibers

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
β‐sheet nanocrystals are embedded into a range of different polymeric fibers by introducing a soluble monomer into the spinning dope solution and polymerizing after fiber formation. Polymer crystallization is found in specific polymeric fibers, resulting in an increase in tensile strength 2.2 and 4.3 times for poly(caprolactone) and cellulose acetate ...

Enhancing the Multifunctional Photocatalytic Activity of Sustainable Magnetic Nanoparticles

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
This study elucidates the origin of the superior properties of Co‐doped Fe3O4 nanoparticles as photocatalysts. Advanced microscopy and spectroscopic analyses reveal that the structural modifications, including oxygen vacancies and phase transitions, enhance multifunctional photocatalytic activity while ensuring high reusability.

Outcomes and Efficacy of the Bristow-Latarjet Technique in Shoulder Instability: A Case Series

open access: yesBabcock University Medical Journal
Objective: The glenohumeral joint is the most mobile in the human body because of its structural anatomy. This mobility renders the joint susceptible to dislocation, most commonly anterior dislocation.

Comparison of the incidence of recovery agitation with two different doses of ketamine in procedural sedation: A randomized clinical trial

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives The objective was to compare the incidence of recovery agitation and efficacy of two different intravenous (IV) doses of ketamine (0.5 mg/kg vs. 1 mg/kg) in adult patients who presented to the emergency department (ED) requiring procedural sedation with ketamine.
