Abstract In recent years, arthroscopic anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) repair techniques have been increasingly used in the treatment of chronic ankle instability. Arthroscopic approaches not only allow for the management of concomitant intra‐articular pathologies but also help minimize wound‐related complications associated with open surgery and ...

Editorial Commentary: Safety in Anteromedial Elbow Portal Placement? Go North! [PDF]
Abstract Since iatrogenic injury to surrounding structures is more likely in the elbow than in the other major joints, many studies have examined the relationship of elbow arthroscopy portals to the at‐risk anatomy. In accessing the anterior compartment of the elbow from the medial side, the brachial artery and median, ulnar, and ...

Anatomic All-Inside Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction Using the TransLateral Technique
Background: Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a commonly performed procedure and considered to be the gold standard in restoring knee function and stability in ACL-deficient knees. The TransLateral all-inside technique implies the use of

Abstract Isolated posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) ruptures are relatively uncommon among knee ligament injuries. Operative management is recommended for patients with grade III posterior knee joint laxity. The complex anatomy of the PCL, particularly its course and insertion on the femur and the tibia, makes its reconstruction technically challenging.

To evaluate a series of patients who underwent surgery for reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament with flexor tendons, by means of the anteromedial transportal technique using Rigidfix for femoral fixation, and to analyze the positioning of the pins by means of tomography.Thirty-two patients were included in the study. The clinical evaluation

We propose modifying the outside-in technique by adopting a posterolateral (PL) portal as the working portal to introduce the anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) aiming guide while keeping the anteromedial portal as the viewing portal, the ...

Abstract This technical note describes a modified transtibial pullout repair for medial meniscus posterior root tear incorporating a barbed suture to improve fixation strength and load distribution. The technique combines 2 simple sutures placed near the torn root with a circumferential barbed suture passed through the posteromedial meniscocapsular ...

Modified transtibial versus anteromedial portal techniques for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, a comparative study. [PDF]
This study compared the accessory anteromedial portal (AAMP) and the modified transtibial technique (MTTT)" for single-bundle anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction.Sixty active adult patients with ACL tear were randomly assigned into two equal groups who were treated surgically. One group was operated on using AAMP and the other group through

All‐Arthroscopic Trochlear Osteochondral Scaffold Matrix Implantation for Osteochondral Defects of the Femoral Trochlea [PDF]
Abstract The treatment of osteochondral defects via an aragonite‐based osteochondral scaffold has been established via mini‐arthrotomy. This report describes a variation of the established procedure to perform and complete the scaffold implantation in the femoral trochlea via a reproducible, all‐arthroscopic technique.
