The genus Notothylas (Notothyladaceae, Anthocerotophyta) in Brazil
Brazilian Journal of Botany, 2020The genus Notothylas Sull. ex A.Gray is reviewed for Brazil based on type material, herbarium specimens and recent collections. Five species of the genus are recognized, Notothylas vitalii is synonymized with N. javanica and two species are new to science: Notothylas granulata sp. nov and N. vermiculata sp. nov.

Phytotaxa, 2015The anatomy and morphology of six species of Anthoceros found in central Mexico are described. Anthoceros hispidus is reported new to Mexico. A key to the species of the genus in the region is provided.

A revision of the genus Notothylas (Notothyladaceae, Anthocerotophyta) in China
Phytotaxa, 2013The genus Notothylas in China contains four species. One new species, Notothylas yunnanensis, is described and illustrated. The new species is characterized by each proximal spore surface with a small central hollow, irregularly arranged, rectangular to quadrate epidermal cells of the capsule, and absence of a special dehiscence line in the capsule.
