Models of Oral Epithelial Dysplasia: A Systematic Review and Temporal Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Oral Pathology &Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common malignancy of the head and neck, associated with substantial morbidity and mortality worldwide. Oral epithelial dysplasia (OED) can precede OSCC, offering a critical window for preventive and therapeutic intervention.

Metabolic Reprogramming and GM‐CSF Secretion in Areca Nut‐Activated Fibroblasts Drive Oral Precancer Progression

open access: yesOral Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Oral cancer, with a rising global incidence and poor prognosis, is associated with areca nut use in South and Southeast Asia. In this study, we addressed the effects of areca nut extract (ANE) on oral carcinogenesis by modulating fibroblast behavior in oral tissue.

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) communities in sand bars associated with Ipomoea pes‐caprae: a promising strategy for petroleum spill bioremediation in coastal dunes

open access: yesRestoration Ecology, EarlyView.
Abstract Introduction Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), a class of petroleum‐derived compounds known for causing cellular damage and for their recalcitrant behavior, severely limit effective biodegradation. Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) from oil‐contaminated environments can mitigate PAH‐related stress on host plants, highlighting the ...

Calcium‐activated chloride channels in pericytes and their role in regulating organ blood flow

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Pericytes are microvascular mural cells with diverse roles. Contractile pericytes directly regulate local perfusion, while non‐contractile pericytes coordinate upstream vascular contractility via propagating electrical signals.

Reduced Symmetry Metal–Organic Cage‐to‐Framework Materials

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 26, 22 June 2026.
A series of Ag(I) MOFs was synthesised from organic cages of varying structure and symmetry as linkers. Minor variations in the cage linkers were shown to significantly influence the structures of the resulting MOFs. This work represents the first incorporation of reduced symmetry (including chiral), intrinsically porous building blocks into MOFs, and ...

Positive Encapsulation‐Induced Emission Control of Aggregation‐Induced Emission‐Active Anthracenes within Micellar Capsules in Water

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Aggregation‐induced emission (AIE)‐active dialkylamine‐substituted anthracenes show strong green emission upon encapsulation by micellar capsules in 100% water. The encapsulation‐induced AIE effect depends on the substitution pattern of the anthracene framework.
