Validation of Parent‐Report Questionnaires for Large‐Scale Online Screening of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Studies assessing the validity of screening measures for avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) remain scarce. We evaluated the diagnostic performance and validity of an online, parent‐reported screening approach for ARFID in a population‐based sample of children.

Examining Diagnostic Criteria for Atypical Anorexia Nervosa Post Metabolic Bariatric Surgery

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the applicability of current diagnostic criteria for atypical anorexia nervosa (AAN) to patients 1 year post Metabolic Bariatric Surgery (MBS). Method This prospective ongoing cohort study included patients from the multicenter Psychosocial Registry of Obesity Surgery assessed before surgery and 1 year‐post‐MBS.

Beyond BMI: Unsupervised Machine Learning Clustering of Bioelectrical Impedance Phenotypes Is Associated With Weight‐Recovery Trajectories in Anorexia Nervosa

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To identify data‐driven body composition phenotypes in patients with moderate‐to‐extreme anorexia nervosa (AN) using machine learning (ML) clustering of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) parameters, and to test whether these phenotypes have specific psychopathological and childhood trauma profiles while correlating with early ...

Disordered Eating Symptom Profiles in Low‐Income, Racially Minoritized Adults

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Eating disorder (ED) research has traditionally assumed that symptoms cluster in the same way across populations. If this assumption is incorrect, models and assessment tools developed with advantaged samples may miss substantial symptom burden in marginalized populations.

Multivariate linear regression to predict association of non‐invasive arterial stiffness with cardiovascular events

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1141-1150, April 2025.
Abstract Background Arterial stiffness is a crucial factor in determining an increase in systolic blood pressure and pulse pressure and can also predict the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between arterial stiffness and future CVD.

Exercise limitations in amyloid cardiomyopathy assessed by cardiopulmonary exercise testing—A multicentre study

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1326-1335, April 2025.
Abstract Aims Amyloid cardiomyopathy is caused by the deposition of light chain (AL) or transthyretin amyloid (ATTR) fibrils, that leads to a restrictive cardiomyopathy, often resulting in heart failure (HF) with preserved or reduced ejection fraction.

Exploring Elimination Profiles and Metabolite Patterns of Brinzolamide and Dorzolamide After Transdermal Exposure for Doping Control Purposes

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
Dermal exposure to the carbonic anhydrase inhibitors dorzolamide and brinzolamide is detected in blood and urine using liquid chromatography–high‐resolution/high‐accuracy mass spectrometry. Contamination at milligram level can, therefore, lead to adverse analytical findings in sports drug testing.
