Anthropomorphic Calcaneus Phantom for Microwave Bone Imaging Applications

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Electromagnetics, RF and Microwaves in Medicine and Biology, 2021
Recent studies have found a significant dielectric contrast between healthy and osteoporotic human trabecular bones. This dielectric contrast can be exploited by microwave imaging for monitoring human bone health. The tissue mimicking phantoms play a vital role for preclinical testing of microwave imaging system.

Anthropomorphic Image Reconstruction via Hypoelliptic Diffusion [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2012
In this paper we study a model of geometry of vision due to Petitot, Citti and Sarti. One of the main features of this model is that the primary visual cortex V1 lifts an image from $R^2$ to the bundle of directions of the plane. Neurons are grouped into orientation columns, each of them corresponding to a point of this bundle.

Stereotactic Imaging Quality Assurance Using an Anthropomorphic Phantom [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Aided Surgery, 1999
A custom-designed anthropomorphic head phantom, containing computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) viewable targets, was used in the assessment of stereotactic localization accuracy. The Brown-Roberts-Wells (BRW) or Leksell stereotactic ring was rigidly fixed to the phantom.
