Secularism, Gender and Masculinity in Nineteenth‐Century Cremation in Europe and the USA
Gender &History, EarlyView.ABSTRACT This essay explores, from transnational perspectives, the early history of modern cremation, which developed in the long nineteenth century with secularist connotations. I argue that the beginnings of modern cremation were shaped by bourgeois men who claimed certain identifiers for themselves in a gendering and Othering way.

American Journal of Political Science, EarlyView.Abstract Polling in the 2020 US presidential elections significantly underestimated Trump support, calling into question the accuracy of all political surveys. Although many have speculated that this bias is due to Trump supporters refusing to respond to surveys, we have previously lacked the data to directly evaluate this theory.
