Reparameterization dependence is useful for holographic complexity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
Holographic complexity in the “complexity equals action” approach is reconsidered relaxing the requirement of reparameterization invariance of the action with the prescription that the action vanish in any static, vacuum causal diamond. This implies that

Stable black strings in anti–de Sitter space [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2001
In the five-dimensional Einstein gravity with negative cosmological constant in the presence/absence of a {\it non-fine-tuned} 3-brane, we have investigated the classical stability of black string solutions which are foliations of four-dimensional $AdS/dS$-Schwarzschild black holes.

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Through the looking-glass, and what AdS found there: quantum particle production with a Whittaker spectrum

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Parity-inverted anti-de Sitter space — “flipped AdS” — is studied through the accelerating boundary correspondence of a moving mirror trajectory. The particle production exhibits positive energy flux and a finite total energy (unlike AdS and de Sitter ...

The littlest Higgs in anti-de Sitter space [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2005
We implement the SU(5)/SO(5) littlest Higgs theory in a slice of 5D Anti-de Sitter space bounded by a UV brane and an IR brane. In this model, there is a bulk SU(5) gauge symmetry that is broken to SO(5) on the IR brane, and the Higgs boson is contained in the Goldstones from this breaking.

KLK7 overexpression promotes an aggressive phenotype and facilitates peritoneal dissemination in colorectal cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KLK7, a tissue kallikrein‐related peptidase, is elevated in advanced colorectal cancer and associated with shorter survival. High KLK7 levels in ascites correlate with peritoneal metastasis. In mice, KLK7 overexpression increases metastasis. In vitro, KLK7 enhances cancer cell proliferation, migration, adhesion, and spheroid formation, driving ...

Infinite (continuous) spin particle in constant curvature space

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We present a new particle model that generalize for constant curvature space an infinite spin particle in flat space. The model is described by commuting Weyl spinor additional coordinates.

Rényi entropy and the thermodynamic stability of black holes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
Thermodynamic stability of black holes, described by the Rényi formula as equilibrium compatible entropy function, is investigated. It is shown that within this approach, asymptotically flat, Schwarzschild black holes can be in stable equilibrium with ...

Loops in dS/CFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We consider the semi-classical expansion of the Bunch-Davies wavefunction with future boundary condition in position space for a real scalar field, conformally coupled to a classical de Sitter background in the expanding Poincaré patch with quartic ...

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.
