Pholidota‐Inspired Electronic Skin Possessing Terahertz‐Wave Reflection–Absorption–Transmission Switchability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The pholidota‐inspired electronic skin is successfully constructed, originally realized four‐state reversible switching of terahertz‐wave reflection, absorption, transmission, and secondary reflection. In response to external demands, it issues deformation instructions, verifies the deformation state after the equipment executes the action, and thus ...

Stakeholder Perspectives on Therapeutic and Safe Building Design in Residential Care

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Residential care is a form of out‐of‐home care that plays a critical role in supporting vulnerable young people in Australia. However, there is an evidence gap regarding the built environment in this context. This research aimed to explore the perspectives of key stakeholders in residential care in Victoria, Australia, regarding design that ...

Hematoma Interleukin‐1 Receptor Antagonist Concentrations Predict Long‐Term Outcome in Acute Human Intracerebral Hemorrhage

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objectives The interleukin (IL)‐1, IL‐6, and C‐reactive protein (CRP) pathway is central to the immune response after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We tested for associations between hematoma and plasma cytokine concentrations and patient outcomes in Minimally Invasive Surgery Plus Rt‐PA for ICH Evacuation Phase III (MISTIE III) participants ...

Compromise-resilient anti-jamming communication in wireless sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yesWireless Networks, 2011
Jamming is a kind of Denial-of-Service attack in which an adversary purposefully emits radio frequency signals to corrupt the wireless transmissions among normal nodes. Although some research has been conducted on countering jamming attacks, few works consider jamming attacks launched by insiders, where an attacker first compromises some legitimate ...

The Tree of Life Synagogue Attack: A Terrorist Radicalization Assessment Protocol‐18 Examination of Pre‐Attack Warnings and Post‐Attack Contagion and Copycat Effects

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This is a retrospective case study of an antisemitic lone actor terrorist who completed the deadliest attack against the Jewish community in American history. The analysis through the lens of the Terrorist Radicalization Assessment Protocol (TRAP‐18) finds that 72% of the warning indicators were present, including four proximal warning ...

Transient Charging Dynamics in Stacked Ga2O3/ZnO Photovoltaic Units Governing Wavelength‐Selective Polarity Switching

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reveals a “Photovoltaic‐Capacitance” coupling mechanism in stacked Ga2O3/ZnO devices, defining the ZnO/graphene interface as a novel Photovoltaic Dynamic‐Capacitor (PDC). The wavelength‐selective bipolar response enables a physical layer secure communication protocol based on ternary optical logic (“1,” “0,” “−1”).

A Model-Free Cognitive Anti-Jamming Strategy Using Adversarial Learning Algorithm

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2022
Modern networking systems can benefit from Cognitive Radio (CR) because it mitigates spectrum scarcity. CR is prone to jamming attacks due to shared communication medium that results in a drop of spectrum usage.
