Testicular Biopsies in Adolescent and Adult Andrological Patients: The EAA Clinical Guidelines

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 7, Page 1906-1928, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Histological evaluation of testicular tissue is central to the assessment of infertile men, particularly those at an increased risk of testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT). Traditionally, testicular biopsies have been used primarily for diagnostic purposes, such as the detection of germ cell neoplasia in situ (GCNIS). With advances in

Veterinarian attitudes towards immunocontraceptive use in cats

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, Volume 104, Issue 10, Page 701-709, October 2026.
Background The continuously expanding global cat population poses concerns to public health, native ecosystems and individual animal welfare. These concerns have led to additional management strategies to reduce unowned cat numbers, including the development of feline immunocontraceptives.

The Spectrum of Congenital Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism: A 30‐Year Experience at a Tertiary Paediatric Centre

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, Volume 105, Issue 4, Page 464-473, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH) is a rare group of disorders of gonadotropin deficiency, either isolated or as a part of multiple pituitary hormone deficiencies (MPHD). We aimed to describe the spectrum of presentation, diagnosis, and management practices of CHH spanning 30 years at an Australian tertiary paediatric centre. This

Clinical Decision Support Models to Optimize Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation: A Scoping Review

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) is a precision medicine challenge, with substantial inter‐individual variability in ovarian response affecting treatment efficacy and safety during in vitro fertilization (IVF). Clinical decision support (CDS) tools incorporating statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence approaches ...

Divergent effects of hyperandrogenemia on the female reproductive neuroendocrine axis under different physiological conditions

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract The hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal (HPG) axis coordinates reproductive function and incorporates gonadal sex steroid feedback to regulate gonadotropin secretion in a homeostatic manner. In females, ovarian estrogens and progestins act as the primary negative feedback signals to suppress luteinizing hormone (LH) release, whereas in males ...

Ethanolamine plasmalogens increase luteinising hormone pulsatility and are associated with GPR61 expression in bovine gonadotrophin‐releasing hormone neurons

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 10, October 2026.
Ethanolamine plasmalogens increased LH pulse frequency. GPR61 was expressed in GnRH neurons and gonadotrophs, suggesting a role in neuroendocrine regulation. Ethanolamine plasmalogens (EPls), but not choline plasmalogens (CPls), may act via GPR61 expressed in GnRH neurons in the preoptic area and in anterior pituitary gonadotrophs.

Genetic landscape of a neonatal hypogonadotropic hypogonadism series: Novel variants and phenotypic spectrum

open access: yesJournal of Neuroendocrinology, Volume 38, Issue 10, October 2026.
Abstract To describe clinical presentation and genetic findings in a cohort of infants with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH) diagnosed before 2 years of age. From a large cohort of patients who underwent next‐generation sequencing (NGS) for CHH between 2019 and 2025, we identified all patients tested at ≤2 years of age.

Metastasis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast to the Uterine Cervix 30 Years Post‐Mastectomy: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research, Volume 52, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Metastasis of invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast to the uterine cervix is rare, with only one report of a case occurring more than 20 years after the primary surgery. A 69‐year‐old woman presented with abnormal uterine cervical cytology (atypical glandular cells without tumor diathesis) 30 years after undergoing breast cancer surgery ...

The use of anti-Müllerian hormone in fertility treatment

open access: yes, 2017
The need for fertility treatment in Denmark is increasing, one of the main causes being postponed parenthood. Ovarian reserve is determined by the anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) level and by antral follicle count.
