Anti-Nuclear Antibodies in Murine Alloantisera are not Necessarily Related to Antibodies to Murine Leukemia Viruses

Immunological Investigations, 1985
Murine alloantisera often contain antinuclear antibodies. Frequently, these sera also have antibodies to murine leukemia viruses. In order to evaluate the relationship of these activities several alloantisera were tested for the presence of antinuclear and antiviral antibodies.

Immunoregulation and anti-nuclear antibodies in mercury-induced glomerulopathy in the rat.

Clinical and experimental immunology, 1981
The pathogenesis of drug-induced autoimmune antibodies is in most cases uncertain. The recent demonstration of T cell aberrations in human and experimental drug-induced autoimmune disease suggests that immunodysregulation might form the basis of an uncontrolled B cell autoreactivity leading to autoantibody production.
