Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

(ω,c) $(\omega ,c)$-Pseudo periodic functions, first order Cauchy problem and Lasota–Wazewska model with ergodic and unbounded oscillating production of red cells

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
In this paper we study a new class of functions, which we call (ω,c) $(\omega ,c)$-pseudo periodic functions. This collection includes pseudo periodic, pseudo anti-periodic, pseudo Bloch-periodic, and unbounded functions.

Anti-periodic solutions of some nonlinear evolution equations

open access: yesManuscripta Mathematica, 1989
The author constructs \(\tau\)-anti-periodic solutions \((u(t+\tau)=-u(t))\) to the systems \(u'+\partial G(u)=f\) and \(u''+B(u')+\partial G(u)=f,\) where f is anti-periodic, \(\partial G\) is the gradient of an even function \(G: {\mathbb{R}}^ N\to {\mathbb{R}}^ N,\) \(B: {\mathbb{R}}^ N\to {\mathbb{R}}^ N\) is monotone, odd and \((Bz,z)\geq \alpha |

Noise-induced synchronization and anti-resonance in excitable systems; Implications for information processing in Parkinson's Disease and Deep Brain Stimulation

open access: yes, 2019
We study the statistical physics of a surprising phenomenon arising in large networks of excitable elements in response to noise: while at low noise, solutions remain in the vicinity of the resting state and large-noise solutions show asynchronous ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Linear difference equations, frieze patterns, and the combinatorial Gale transform

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2014
We study the space of linear difference equations with periodic coefficients and (anti)periodic solutions. We show that this space is isomorphic to the space of tame frieze patterns and closely related to the moduli space of configurations of points in ...

Anti-periodic solutions of Liénard equations with state dependent impulses

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 2016
The authors study the existence of anti-periodic solutions of Liénard equations with state dependent impulses. Assuming some a priori bounds, the existence of a unique anti-periodic solution is established. Moreover, they construct a sequence of iterates converging point-wise to the solution and provide a bound for the rate of convergence.

Dynamics of two planets in co-orbital motion

open access: yes, 2010
We study the stability regions and families of periodic orbits of two planets locked in a co-orbital configuration. We consider different ratios of planetary masses and orbital eccentricities, also we assume that both planets share the same orbital plane.

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Anti-periodic solutions for high-order cellular neural networks with time-varying delays

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
In this article, we study anti-periodic solutions for high-order cellular neural networks with time-varying delays. Sufficient conditions for the existence and exponential stability of anti-periodic solutions are presented.
