Modeling Catheter‐Associated Bladder Mucosal Adhesion and Microtrauma Using a Human Urothelial Microtissue Model

Intermittent catheter use can damage the urinary tract and predispose to infection. We deployed a complex human urothelial model to investigate. Catheter contact induced compressive and shear stress causing umbrella cell disruption, reduced barrier function, inflammation and increased cell adhesion to the catheter surface.

Plant Virus Immunotherapy for HPV‐Associated Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Cowpea mosaic virus (CPMV) nanoparticles are safe and potent cancer immunotherapy candidates with strong immunomodulatory activity. CPMV activates innate immunity, which in turn drives adaptive immune responses and promotes durable, systemic antitumor effects.
