Long‐term stability after non‐surgical furcation retreatment with adjunctive collagen hydrogel
Abstract Background Management of inflammation at previously surgically treated periodontal sites represents a clinical challenge. Although surgical retreatment may be indicated in selected cases, a conservative non‐surgical approach may restore periodontal stability while avoiding the additional morbidity associated with repeated surgery.

Traditional dosing strategies often rely on a “one‐size‐fits‐all” paradigm, assuming an “average” patient with typical demographic and pharmacological characteristics. Dicloxacillin is a penicillinase‐resistant beta‐lactam antibiotic and potent activator of the Pregnane X receptor (PXR), known to induce CYP2C9, CYP2C19, and CYP3A4 activity. Clinical data suggest it reduces anticoagulation in warfarin‐treated patients and increases the risk of thromboembolic events.

Real‐world evidence (RWE) derived from real‐world data (RWD) can complement randomized controlled trials (RCTs), yet the validity of RWD relative to RCT data remains insufficiently characterized. We obtained post hoc consent and linked individual participant data from the US‐based INVESTED trial (2016–2019) with Medicare fee‐for‐service claims (2012 ...
