Electrets In Anticorrosion Techniques

2000
The efficiency of hardware protection against corrosion depends on the presence of rustproof materials in their composition. Their major anticorrosion characteristics important for anticrrosion techniques are the following: low diffusion coefficient, ability to produce a barrier against corrosive medium penetration to the most rust-prone metal ...

Anticorrosive coatings: a review

Journal of Coatings Technology and Research, 2009
The main objective of this review is to describe some of the important topics related to the use of marine and protective coatings for anticorrosive purposes. In this context, “protective” refers to coatings for containers, offshore constructions, wind turbines, storage tanks, bridges, rail cars, and petrochemical plants while “marine” refers to ...

Active Anticorrosion Coatings with Halloysite Nanocontainers

The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2008
This work contributes to the development of a new generation of active corrosion protection coatings composed of hybrid sol−gel films doped with halloysite nanotubes able to release entrapped corrosion inhibitors in a controllable way. A silica-zirconia-based hybrid film was used in this work as an anticorrosion coating deposited on 2024 aluminum alloy.

Marine anticorrosion paints

Pigment & Resin Technology, 1991
Four paint compositions were prepared, two of them based on vinyl copolymer as a binder and the other contain boiled oil in presence or absence of soluble resin material. Boiled oil based paints meet the most anticorrosion action and film property. Also, the anticorrosion potential of the paints depend on the type of ingredients and their ratio in the ...

Effects of Certain Anticorrosives in Steam on Clostridia

American Journal of Veterinary Research, 1970
SUMMARY Octadecylamine (1-aminooctadecane), morpholine (tetrahydro-1,4-oxazine), cyclohexylamine, and neutrameen NA5 have been used to control corrosion in steam lines of bacteriology laboratories. Recommended concentrations of 1-aminooctadecane are 1 to 2 parts per million (p.p.m.).

Zinc tripolyphosphate: An anticorrosive pigment for paints

Surface Coatings International Part B: Coatings Transactions, 2003
The aim of this paper was to study the efficiency of zinc tripolyphosphate as an anticorrosive pigment for paints. A procedure to prepare the pigment was outlined and its anticorrosive properties evaluated following the electrochemical behaviour of a steel electrode in pigment suspensions.

Corrosion — An Anticorrosion Viewpoint

1977
The Opening Address to this Conference has provided a theme, Electrochemistry for a Future Society, that cannot fail to appeal to savants and men of affairs alike. A panoramic view of electrochemistry in action to enrich our lives and mould our destiny ought perhaps to be supplemented by glimpses of detail from different parts of the field.
