Thermophoresis of an antiferromagnetic soliton

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2015
We study dynamics of an antiferromagnetic soliton under a temperature gradient. To this end, we start by phenomenologically constructing the stochastic Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation for an antiferromagnet with the aid of the fluctuation-dissipation theorem.

Localized Spin Textures Stabilized by Geometry‐Induced Strain in 2D Magnet Fe3GeTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Strain engineering in 2D van der Waals ferromagnet Fe₃GeTe₂ is studied using scanning transmission X‐ray microscopy. Spatially varying strain from micropillar arrays induced local 10 K Curie temperature increases, stabilizing magnetic domains including skyrmions and skyrmion bags near pillar corners.

Understanding the re-entrant superconducting phase diagram of an iron-pnictide Ca$_4$Al$_2$O$_6$Fe$_2$(As$_{1-x}$P$_x$)$_2$

open access: yes, 2013
Recently, a very rich phase diagram has been obtained for an iron-based superconductor Ca4Al2O6Fe2(As1-xPx)2. It has been revealed that nodeless (x=0) and nodal (x = 1) superconductivity are separated by an antiferromagnetic phase.

Advances in Topological Thermoelectrics: Harnessing Quantum Materials for Energy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Topological materials offer a novel platform for thermoelectric energy conversion through unique band features, including band inversion, linear Dirac bands, surface states, and Berry curvature. These quantum characteristics enable enhanced longitudinal and transverse thermoelectric effects, establishing topological thermoelectrics as a promising ...

Substrate-induced antiferromagnetism of an Fe monolayer on the Ir(001) surface

open access: yes, 2009
We present detailed ab initio study of structural and magnetic stability of a Fe-monolayer on the fcc(001) surface of iridium. The Fe-monolayer has a strong tendency to order antiferromagnetically for the true relaxed geometry.

Antiferromagnetism. The Triangular Ising Net

open access: yes, 1950
In this paper the statistical mechanics of a two-dimensionally infinite set of Ising spins is worked out for the case in which they form either a triangular or a honeycomb arrangement. Results for the honeycomb and the ferromagnetic triangular net differ

Strain Engineering of Magnetoresistance and Magnetic Anisotropy in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Biaxial compressive strain significantly enhances magnetoresistance and critical saturation fields in thin flakes of the 2D magnet CrSBr, along all three crystallographic axes. First‐principles calculations link these effects to strain‐induced increases in exchange interactions and magnetic anisotropy.

Pressure-induced superconductivity in Eu$_{0.5}$Ca$_{0.5}$Fe$_2$As$_2$ : FeAs-based superconductivity hidden by antiferromagnetism of Eu sublattice

open access: yes, 2009
To clarify superconductivity in EuFe2As2 hidden by antiferromagnetism of Eu2+, we investigated a Ca-substituted sample, Eu0.5Ca0.5Fe2As2, under high pressure.
