Neutron diffraction studies of chromium and manganese by Shull & Wilkinson have disclosed the existence of a partial antiferromagnetic ordering in these metals, dissimilar in several respects from the antiferromagnetism which occurs in compounds such as MnF 2 and MnO.

Magnetoresistance effect in antiferromagnet/nonmagnet/antiferromagnet multilayers
Applied Physics Letters, 2009The magnetoresistance (MR) effect between two antiferromagnetic layers separated by a nonmagnetic Cu layer was investigated. The MR ratio of 0.5% was observed in the structure of IrMn(8)/Cu(2.8)/IrMn(0.5)/CoFe(8) (in nanometers), where IrMn stands for Ir22Mn78 and CoFe for Co90Fe10.

Antiferromagnetic Resonance Frequency in Quadratic Layer Antiferromagnets
Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1974The temperature variation of the far-infrared AFMR frequency in the quadratic layer antiferromagnets K 2 NiF 4 and Rb 2 NiF 4 has been measured using Fourier transform interferometry techniques. The results are found to be sharply defferent from those in usual three-dimensional antiferro-magnets.

Magnetostatic Modes in Antiferromagnets and Canted Antiferromagnets
Journal of Applied Physics, 1966The resonance frequencies of the magnetostatic modes are calculated for an antiferromagnetic sphere with a dc magnetic field applied along the direction of easy magnetization. For resonance at a fixed frequency, the separations between the various modes are of order 0.2 (2HexHA)½4πM/Hex Oe.
