Environmental and bronchoalveolar lavage Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus antigen levels in atopic asthmatics.

American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 1995
Overnight environmental home exposure to Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus in IgE-sensitized individuals is often clinically associated with increased morning symptoms of rhinitis and/or asthma. We have investigated whether household exposure to D. pteronyssinus is associated with the presence of immunoreactive D.

Immunoblot analysis of Dermatophagoides farinae antigen.

Annals of allergy, 1990
We isolated the allergenic components of Dermatophagoides farinae (D. farinae) body extracts and determined the frequencies and specificities of IgE, IgG, and IgG4 antibodies binding to components of D. farinae extracts by use of immunoblot technique. A total of 29 IgE-binding components of D.

Purification and characterization of the major allergen from Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus-antigen P1.

The Journal of Immunology, 1980
Abstract A purified allergen was obtained from D. pteronyssinus culture by gel filtration, block electrophoresis, and preparative isoelectricfocusing (IEF). The antigenic activity on IEF was predominantly distributed in two peaks (pI 4.7 to 5.4 and pI 6.6 to 7.1), which were completely cross-reactive on immunodiffusion and by cross ...

Dermatophagoides farinae antigen skin test sensitivity in Wisconsin.

Annals of allergy, 1979
Fifty consecutive patients with allergic asthma and/or rhinitis in Madison. Wisconsin, were tested intradermally with a house dust extract (1:100) and with a Dermatophagoides farinae antigen (1:2000). The close relationship between the two skin test results (mite and house dust) suggests that both contain the same cross-reacting antigens and that mites

Antigenic and allergenic constituents of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus extract.

Developments in biological standardization, 1975
The antigenic analysis of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus extract was performed by using antiserum obtained in rabbits by immunization with mite extract in Freund's adjuvant. Immunodiffusion and immunoelectrophoretic analysis revealed the presence of many constituents, most of which were common to human dander, house dust and Dermatophagoides farinae ...

Laryngeal effects of antigen stimulation challenge with perennial allergen dermatophagoides pteronyssinus

Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 2003
Abstract Objective We conducted a pilot study to assess the effects of antigen stimulation on the appearance and function of the larynx. Study design and subjects The prospective, double-blind, randomized study included 9 adult patients with a skin-prick test positive for Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus .

Mites and house dust allergy. IV. Antigen and allergen(s) of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus extract

Clinical & Experimental Allergy, 1975
SummaryThe antigenic composition of D. pteronyssinus extract was investigated by using antisera raised in rabbits by injection of the mile extract in Freund's adjuvant. Immunodiffusion analysis revealed the presence in the mite extract of many antigenic constituents, most of which were also common to human dander and house dust extracts. Four antigenic

Purification of a murine IgE-inducing antigen extracted from the house dust mite, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus

Molecular Immunology, 1982
A major antigen inducing IgE in mice (DpI) was purified from a crude extract of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (D.p.) using Sephacryl S-200 gel filtration, DE52 ion exchange chromatography and isoelectric focusing. This antigen is not one of the major D.p. human allergens. Isoelectric focusing showed a single peak of PCA activity at pI 4.7.
