Histocompatibility Antigens and Solid Malignant Neoplasms
Archives of Surgery, 1975To evaluate the relation between histocompatibility antigen phenotypes and solid malignant neoplasms, HL-A type was determined in 633 cancer patients and compared with those of 489 normal controls. HL-A8 was elevated in patients with squamous cancer, melanoma, and adenocarcinoma.

The expression of lewis antigens in neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract
Pathology, 1989The indirect immunoperoxidase technique has been used to demonstrate Lea and Leb antigens in paraffin sections of both morphologically normal gastric and colonic mucosae and their neoplastic counterparts. Expression differed in various regions of the gastrointestinal tract: Leb occurred most frequently in the stomach and Lea most frequently in the ...

Tumor antigens in neoplasms of the human parotid gland
Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1982In a collection of parotid gland tumors the presence of different antigens was studied by immuno‐histochemical methods. The series was composed of different tumors: adeno‐ and cystadenocarcinomas, adenoid‐cystic carcinomas, salivary duct carcinomas, mucoepidermoid tumors, squamous cell carcinomas and anaplastic carcinomas. The following substances were ...

Estrogen receptor protein was found in 24% of colonic neoplasms. Presence of estrogen receptor activity was independent of age or sex of the patient, state of differentiation or spread of the tumor, and concentration of carcinoembryonic antigen in the tumor.

Staining of Melanocytic Neoplasms by Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T Cells
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2000We stained benign melanocytic nevi and malignant melanoma with antibodies to melanoma antigen recognized by T cells (Mart-1) to determine if this was useful in differentiating benign from malignant melanocytic neoplasms. Forty-five primary malignant melanomas and 71 benign melanocytic nevi were stained with antibodies to Mart-1.

Three cases of extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (low grade B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue [MALT] type) in which the neoplastic B cells expressed the CD5 antigen are reported. The patients included 2 men and 1 woman, aged 44,

A 63-year-old woman had acute onset of rapidly progressive Raynaud phenomenon and digital gangrene. Prior to the detection of a sarcomatoid renal carcinoma, prominemt hypergammaglobulinemia, microhematuria, and weight loss were noted.

Nephrotic syndrome and neoplasm. The findings to date, with practical implications.
Postgraduate medicine, 1984The following points should be kept in mind in cases of nephrotic syndrome. Neoplasm (malignant or benign) occurs in approximately 10% of adults with nephrotic syndrome (15% of those over age 60).

HL-A leukocyte antigen studies in women with gestational trophoblastic neoplasms
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1971Abstract HL-A histocompatibility antigen typing has been carried out in 31 women with gestational trophoblastic neoplasms, their husbands, and 50 of 62 offspring in the 26 families in which there are living offspring. In 15 families it was possible to study the child associated with the pregnancy giving rise to the gestational choriocarcinoma ...

Leu-Ml Antigen in Human Neoplasms
The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1986Several studies have shown that the Leu-M1 antigen, a monocyte/granulocyte-related marker, is consistently expressed by the neoplastic cells of patients with Hodgkin's disease (HD). It has been suggested that reactivity of Reed-Sternberg cells with Leu-M1 can be used in support of a morphologic interpretation of HD, and that it is helpful in the ...
