Association of lean metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease with carotid plaque progression in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, both lean and non‐lean MASLD were significantly associated with an increased risk of carotid atherosclerosis progression compared to those who were lean without MASLD. This suggests that the evaluation of liver steatosis in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, regardless of body weight, may help identify ...

Genetic analysis of the correlation between GLP1 action and metabolic liver disease: Insights from Mendelian randomization analysis

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Our study provides genetic analysis supporting the beneficial effects of GLP1 action on MASLD. These benefits may be attributed to mechanisms such as lowering blood glucose levels, reducing blood pressure, and improving HDL cholesterol levels. ABSTRACT Purpose Previous studies have shown that glucagon‐like peptide 1 (GLP1) receptor agonists may help ...

Impact of Comprehensive Medication Reviews on Medicare Beneficiaries With Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesJournal of the American Geriatrics Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) management, particularly adherence to oral antidiabetic drugs (OAD), is a key focus of the Part D Medicare Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program. Contributing Factors to Medication Administration Errors Among Novice Registered Nurses: An Integrative Review

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim The aim of this review was to explore the influencing factors that contribute to medication administration errors (MAEs) made by novice registered nurses (NRNs). Background MAEs are a significant yet preventable risk to patient safety in healthcare settings, compromising both patient health and care quality. Evidence suggests that NRNs are
