Epidemiological Survey and Genomic Insights Into Ostreid Herpesvirus 1 Transmission in the Blood Clam Anadara broughtonii in China (2019–2025)

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Seven‐year surveillance reveals a cold‐adapted OsHV‐1 lineage in blood clams, with disease onset at 13°C—3–5°C lower than in oysters—and identifies asymptomatic carriers and facility effluent as key transmission routes. ABSTRACT Ostreid herpesvirus 1 (OsHV‐1) poses a major threat to bivalve aquaculture, but its impact on blood clams (Anadara ...

Population pharmacokinetics of levofloxacin in breastmilk in patients with rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Levofloxacin is a widely used antibiotic included in rifampicin‐resistant tuberculosis (RR‐TB) treatment. Data describing levofloxacin concentrations in breastmilk and infant exposure are limited. We analysed data from two South African studies of breastfeeding women receiving levofloxacin (750–1000 mg daily) for RR‐TB.

Ceftriaxone‐induced liver injury: Incidence, phenotypic characterization and predictive factors

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Introduction Ceftriaxone is a widely used third‐generation cephalosporin in hospitalized patients. Although generally considered safe, it has been associated with hepatobiliary complications and emerging reports of drug‐induced liver injury (DILI). However, data on its true incidence, phenotypic patterns, and predictors remain limited. This study aimed

Towards a matrix to assess the impacts of integrated surveillance of antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial use

open access: yes, 2022
Introduction - Tackling the challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) requires changes in antimicrobial use (AMU) across human, animal and agricultural sectors. To trigger adequate changes, both at individual as at policy level, all actors in the system must be informed by integrated surveillance.
