Dynamical mean-field theory of photoemission spectra of actinide compounds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A model of photoemission spectra of actinide compounds is presented. The complete multiplet spectrum of a single ion is calculated by exact diagonalization of the two-body Hamiltonian of the f^n shell.

Galvanomagnetic luminescence of indium antimonide [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 1985
We report measurements of the absolute spectral intensity due to galvanomagnetic luminescence of intrinsic InSb at room temperature. Together with a calculation of carrier and photon transport, these measurements form the basis for a new technique for the determination of carrier lifetimes and diffusion lengths.

Large Thermoelectric Power Factor in TiS2 Crystal with Nearly Stoichiometric Composition

open access: yes, 2001
A TiS$_{2}$ crystal with a layered structure was found to have a large thermoelectric power factor.The in-plane power factor $S^{2}/ \rho$ at 300 K is 37.1~$\mu$W/K$^{2}$cm with resistivity ($\rho$) of 1.7 m$\Omega$cm and thermopower ($S$) of -251~$\mu$V/

Thermoelectric performance of p-type half-Heusler alloys ScMSb (M = Ni, Pd, Pt) by ab initio calculations

open access: yes, 2018
Structural, electronic, and transport properties of ScNiSb, ScPdSb, and ScPtSb were investigated from first principles. Electronic band structures derived within the fully relativistic MBJLDA approach were compared with those obtained from the standard ...

Colloidal Aluminum Antimonide Quantum Dots [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry of Materials, 2019
AlSb is a less studied member of the III–V semiconductor family, and herein, we report the colloidal synthesis of AlSb quantum dots (QDs) for the first time. Different sizes of colloidal AlSb QDs (5 to 9 nm) were produced by the controlled reaction of AlCl3 and Sb[N(Si(Me)3)2]3 in the presence of superhydride.

Non‐Equilibrium Synthesis Methods to Create Metastable and High‐Entropy Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stabilizing multiple elements within a single phase enables the creation of advanced materials with exceptional properties arising from their complex composition. However, under equilibrium conditions, the Hume–Rothery rules impose strict limitations on solid‐state miscibility, restricting combinations of elements with mismatched crystal ...
