COMPOSITION AND MORPHOLOGY OF CRYSTALS OF PLATINUM GROUP MINERALS FROM PLACERS OF THE SOUTH URALS [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия, 2017
Crystals of platinum group minerals (PGMs) of the Os–Ir–Ru and Pt–Fe systems from placer deposits of the South Urals are zonal and relatively homogenous in composition and can contain inclusions of PGE sulfides, arsenides, sulfarsenides, and antimonides.

III-Antimonide Nanowires [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We review the recent progress in the growth, structural, optical and electrical properties of GaAs/GaAsSb, GaAs/GaSb, and InAs/InSb nanowires (NWs) grown by the vapor-liquid-solid (VLS) mechanism. The structural characterization of GaAsSb NWs reveals that they adopt zinc blende (ZB) crystal phase, whereas the same growth conditions (except the Sb flux)

Topological Photonic Devices and Circuits at Terahertz Frequencies

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This review examines how 3D topological insulators and emerging topological photonic phases enable robust, low‐loss and defect‐immune terahertz devices. Fundamental properties, device implementations and topological transport mechanisms are surveyed, revealing new opportunities for reconfigurable, high‐performance THz components and scalable ...

Studies on the IR reflectance trends and energy storage potential of metal antimonide incorporated jarosite dark colorants: A waste to wealth strategy

open access: yesSustainable Chemistry for Climate Action
The mineral jarosite, which is a by-product of zinc industry, has been examined here for a variety of environmental applications. By adding spectrally selective metal antimonides, a range of dark-colored inorganic-organic hybrid systems were created, and

Unconventional Metallic Magnetism in LaCrSb{3} [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Neutron-diffraction measurements in LaCrSb{3} show a coexistence of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic sublattices below Tc=126 K, with ordered moments of 1.65(4) and 0.49(4) Bohr magnetons per formula unit, respectively (T=10 K), and a spin ...
