Effect of chemical bond polarity on wafer and cleavage surface oxidation for GaAs, GaSb, InAs and InSb single crystals [PDF]
Rapid development of III–V semiconductor device technologies and broadening of device applications are hindered by the high density of surface states produced in those materials by intrinsic complex oxides and surface contaminations.

Cold electron beams from cryo-cooled, alkali antimonide photocathodes
In this letter we report on the generation of cold electron beams using a Cs3Sb photocathode grown by co-deposition of Sb and Cs. By cooling the photocathode to 90 K we demonstrate a significant reduction in the mean transverse energy validating the long

Tailoring ferromagnetic chalcopyrites
If magnetic semiconductors are ever to find wide application in real spintronic devices, their magnetic and electronic properties will require tailoring in much the same way that band gaps are engineered in conventional semiconductors.

Simultaneous electrospinning of polymer fibers and electrospraying of a carbon nanotube solution results in porous mats coated with nanotubes. In terms of thermoelectric properties, the polymer mat serves as an inert surface on which the carbon nanotubes are fixed. In addition, it has been shown that these mats can be used as sensors for acetone vapor.
