Bifurcations and chaos dynamics of a hyperjerk system with antimonotonicity
In this paper, the bifurcations and chaos dynamics of a hyperjerk system with antimonotonicity are investigated via the analytical methods and numerical calculations. We discuss the local stabilities of equilibrium points and its bifurcations depending on parameters.

By replacing the resistor in a Twin-T network with a generalized flux-controlled memristor, this paper proposes a simple fourth-order memristive Twin-T oscillator. Rich dynamical behaviors can be observed in the dynamical system. The most striking feature is that this system has various periodic orbits and various chaotic attractors generated by ...

Abstract In this paper, nonlinear dynamics of the torsional vibrations of the Series Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV) powertrain are explored. The mathematical equation of the SHEV is obtained by considering both internal and external excitations. We examine the effects of rotational speed, load fluctuation, and road fluctuation on the dynamics of the ...

Distribution-free upper bounds for spread options and market-implied antimonotonicity gap
European Journal of Finance, 2008We derive in closed form distribution-free bounds and optimal hedging strategies for spread options. Upper bounds are obtained when the spread option's joint distribution is constrained by the prices of traded options with all available strikes of a given maturity.

Chaos, antimonotonicity and coexisting attractors in Van der Pol oscillator based electronic circuit
Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2021Studies on the nonlinear dynamics of a modified Van der Pol oscillator based electronic circuit has been reported. It has been found that inclusion of an active RC section (or filter) in the Van der Pol oscillator is able to generate rich nonlinear behavior. Effect of a low pass filter as well as an all pass filter has been reported.

Antimonotonicity, chaos and multiple attractors in a novel autonomous memristor-based jerk circuit
Nonlinear Dynamics, 2017A novel memristor-based oscillator derived from the autonomous jerk circuit (Sprott in IEEE Trans Circuits Syst II Express Briefs 58:240–243, 2011) is proposed. A first-order memristive diode bridge replaces the semiconductor diode of the original circuit.

Abstract This paper focuses on the dynamics of a modified jerk circuit obtained via replacing the diode bridge memristor in the original jerk circuit introduced in [24] with a first-order hybrid diode circuit. Both memristive diode bridge and first order hybrid diode are frequency dependent component even though the later device doesn't has a pinched

In this contribution, a novel Jerk system with a smooth piecewise quadratic nonlinearity is introduced. The new nonlinearity provides a similar smoothness as the cubic polynomial function, but a faster response and a simpler circuitry. The basic dynamical properties of the model are discussed in terms of its parameters by using standard nonlinear ...
