Medicine for the Material World

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 3, Page 434-439, June 2026.
ABSTRACT It is clear that many of the inorganic materials of antiquity have been used both as medicines for human ills and also as agents in technological processes. This paper speculates that there might have been a stronger link between these two functions in the past, based on the concept of “active agents”—materials that are efficacious at curing ...

Research Progress on Sb Geochemistry and Sb Isotopes

open access: yesYankuang ceshi, 2016
Antimony (Sb) has been widely used in products such as fire retardants, glass, rubber, paint, ceramics and semiconductors. It is found throughout igneous rocks but can be enriched in sedimentary rocks such as abysmal clays, shales and clastic rocks.

A Common Reference Material for Mass‐Dependent Sn Isotope Compositions: An Inter‐Laboratory Calibration Approach

open access: yesGeostandards and Geoanalytical Research, Volume 50, Issue 2, Page 341-367, June 2026.
Key Points We recommend using the notation δ122/118SnNIST SRM 3161a for mass‐dependent Sn isotope data. We derived conversion factors relative to NIST SRM 3161a for Puri Sn CEZA (0.132 ± 0.011‰), Sn Lyon (0.229 ± 0.016‰), Sn IPGP (0.162 ± 0.018‰). Tin isotope compositions are presented for SPEX CertiPrep Sn and nine USGS reference materials.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 5, Page 1323-1346, May 2026.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Discussion on the ore-controlling factors in the Longlin–Xilin Sb–Au mining district of western Guangxi, South China

open access: yesDizhi lixue xuebao
Objective  Sb deposits are characterized by simple mineral assemblage. The ore-forming ages, sources of ore-forming materials, and genesis of Sb deposits are controversial owing to the absence of suitable minerals for analysis.
