PAMELA mission: heralding a new era in cosmic ray physics
After seven years of data taking in space, the experiment PAMELA is showing very interesting features in cosmic rays, namely in the fluxes of protons, helium, electrons, that might change our basic vision of the mechanisms of production, acceleration and

Measurement of cosmic-ray low-energy antiproton spectrum with the first BESS-Polar Antarctic flight
The BESS-Polar spectrometer had its first successful balloon flight over Antarctica in December 2004. During the 8.5-day long-duration flight, almost 0.9 billion events were recorded and 1,520 antiprotons were detected in the energy range 0.1-4.2 GeV. In

Antiproton stopping in atomic targets
Stopping powers of antiprotons in H, He, Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe targets are calculated using a semiclassical time-dependent convergent close-coupling method. The helium target is treated using both frozen-core and multiconfiguration approximations.

Production of multi-strangeness hypernuclei and the YN-interaction
We investigate for the first time the influence of hyperon–nucleon (YN) interaction models on the strangeness dynamics of antiproton–nucleus and Ξ–nucleus interactions.
